Jack Dylan Grazer: A Rising Star in Hollywood

Early Life and Background

Jack Dylan Grazer was born on September 3, 2003, in Los Angeles, California, USA. He is the son of Angela Lafever and Gavin Grazer, an actor and director. His uncle is the renowned producer Brian Grazer. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in the entertainment industry, Jack developed an early interest in acting. He began his career at a young age, participating in school plays and local theater productions, which paved the way for his entry into professional acting. 

Breakthrough Roles

Grazer's breakout role came in 2017 when he portrayed Eddie Kaspbrak in the horror film "It," an adaptation of Stephen King's novel. His performance was well-received, leading him to reprise the role in the 2019 sequel, "It Chapter Two." 

In 2019, he joined the DC Extended Universe as Freddy Freeman in "Shazam!" and returned for its sequel, "Shazam! Fury of the Gods," in 2023. 

Voice Acting and Television Work

Beyond live-action roles, Grazer has lent his voice to several animated projects. He voiced Alberto Scorfano in Pixar's "Luca" (2021) and its short film sequel "Ciao Alberto" (2021). Additionally, he voiced Barney Pudowski in "Ron's Gone Wrong" (2021) and Jonathan Kent in "Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons" (2022). 

On television, Grazer starred as Fraser Wilson in the HBO series "We Are Who We Are" (2020), directed by Luca Guadagnino. The show explores themes of identity and adolescence, with Grazer's performance receiving critical acclaim. 

Personal Life and Advocacy

In July 2021, Grazer publicly came out as bisexual during an Instagram Live session. He has since been open about his sexuality and uses he/they pronouns. 

Grazer is also known for his philanthropic efforts. He sponsors a scholarship at the Adderley School for Performing Arts, his alma mater, providing opportunities for aspiring young actors. 

Recent and Upcoming Projects

In 2023, Grazer appeared in the film "Downtown Owl" as Eli. He is set to star in the upcoming series "The Spiderwick Chronicles" (2024) as Thimbletack.
